Acesulfame potassium - Acesulfame K, which is in Be Flora, which is In Cardio Cocktail by Formor International

Acesulfame Potassium, Otherwise known as Ace-K Acesulfame Potassium (K) was approved for use by the FDA as a safe artificial sweetener in July, l988. It is a derivative of acetoacetic acid. Unfortunately, several potential problems associated with the use of acesulfame have been raised. They are based largely on animal studies since testing on humans remains limited.

The findings showed the following:
Acesulfame K stimulates insulin secretion in a dose dependent fashion thereby possibly aggravating reactive hypoglycemia ("low blood sugar attacks").

Acesulfame K apparently produced lung tumors, breast tumors, rare types of tumors of other organs (such as the thymus gland), several forms of leukemia and chronic respiratory disease in several rodent studies, even when less than maximum doses were given. According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, it was petitioned on August 29, l988 for a stay of approval by the FDA because of "significant doubt" about its safety.

How Long Has Formor International been Giving you This Potential Toxic Substance with out Disclosing it as an Ingredient? Well One time is too much.. I was NOT told .. and I resent the FACT that ingested this "Poison" for over a year, while being told it was "Perfectly Safe" I NO longer TRUST Formor International. Lies and Non-Disclosure have been my experience with Formor.

I have drank a Known Toxin over the last year, they Call it a "Sweet Poison" on online information. Formor International is selling you a Carcinogen and Making you think it is a "Health Product".

What is Acesulfame Potassium

Acesulfame Potassium is :

Acesulfame potassium is a calorie-free artificial sweetener, also known as Acesulfame K or Ace K (K being the symbol for potassium), and marketed under the trade names Sunett and Sweet One. In the European Union, it is known under the E number (additive code) E950. It was discovered accidentally in 1967 by German chemist Karl Clauss at Hoechst AG (now Nutrinova).[1] In chemical structure, acesulfame potassium is the potassium salt of 6-methyl-1,2,3- oxathiazine-4(3H)-one 2,2-dioxide. It is a white crystalline powder with molecular formula C4H4KNO4S and a molecular weight of 201.24.[2]

Safety Concerns
As with aspartame, saccharin, sucralose, and other sweeteners that are sweeter than common sugars, there is concern over the safety of acesulfame potassium. Although studies of these sweeteners show varying and controversial degrees of dietary safety, the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has approved these for use as general-purpose sweetening agents. Critics of the use of acesulfame potassium say the chemical has not been studied adequately and may be carcinogenic, although these claims have been dismissed by the USFDA[5] and by equivalent authorities in the European Union.[6]

Several potential problems associated with the use of acesulfame have been raised. They are based largely on animal studies since testing on humans remains limited. The findings showed the following:

Acesulfame K has been shown to stimulate insulin secretion in rats in a dose dependent fashion thereby possibly aggravating reactive hypoglycemia ("low blood sugar attacks").[7]
Rodent studies have shown no increased incidence of tumors in response to administration of acesulfame K. [8]

IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING ACE-K

This is From an Online Newsletter.. this is a Quote.. the Link to the Source of the Quote is after the Quote.

"A few questions have come up regarding an artifi cial sweetener,
Acesulfame Potassium (or “Ace-K”), which is currently on the
ingredient statement of BalanceOne™. BalanceOne™ contains
a natural sweetener, B Flora Plus, which is used instead of sugar.

B Flora Plus is a plant, and Ace-K is used in the nutrient mix that
feeds the growth of this plant, and to suppress some of the “off
notes” of the taste of vitamins, minerals and herbs. Ace-K is not
an added ingredient in BalanceOne™, but is rather a by-product of
the production of B Flora Plus. As a result, Ace-K was inadvertently
added to our ingredient statement.

We estimate that each ounce of B1 is approximately .00035 (3.5
ten-thousandths) Ace-K by volume. In our next production run, set
for 1Q of 2007, we will be replacing the B Flora Plus ingredient to
remove any trace of Ace-K."

What is Ace-K in Be Flora™ Acesulfame Potassium

I am Not convinced that Ace-K that is in B Flora, which is in Cardio Cocktail is a Safe ingredient. Do your own homework and decide for yourself.

What is the really bad part is that YOU don't get to know it is even in Cardio Cocktail, because Ace-K is actually in B Flora - so Formor International gets to just say B Flora is in Cardio Cocktail but not disclose what is in B Flora. I personally do not feel that this is Ethical.

Cardio Cocktail Does have Ace-K, though Formor "Advisors" "Doubt" that such a test has been done.. to prove this .. however it certainly has

Ace-K is short for Acesulfame Potassium - Sweet poison, if you Google it!

From what I understand this is an artificial sweetner. Don't take my word for anything .. Do your Own Homework. It is your body and you have a RIGHT to know what your putting into it.

Formor's Representative says "We use Beflora as a sweetener--it is Inulin and trace Ace K. After researching the subject, I doubt someone tested the product but are going off rumors on the internet. The cost to test and isolate Ace K is $4,500. Just like any other sweetener there is bad press on Ace K created by people who use sucralose & aspartame; the benefits of Beflora a far superior to sugar, sucralose, aspartame, etc. Sucralose is processed with chlorine and aspartame with wood alcohol. Beflora is created by feeding plants the Ace K and then processing naturally. The plants filter any impurities in the process. I truly believe Beflora to be the best option"

I personally doubt this "Explanation" and will Do my Own homework on what I put into my body. I am telling you folks because I am the "Industry Whistleblower" for many industries... we even have www.IndustryWhistleblower.com in the name of Consumer Protection. I feel you have a right to know what is REALLY going into your body. Don't YOU ?

Aspartame is Deadly, do your Homework. Is Ace-K related to Aspartame, are you being deceived ? Dig Deeper, find your Own Answers.

Many feel that Ace-K in Be Flora is No big deal, I happen to disagree... you get to make up your own mind... Now Your In the Know.

It is said that Be Flora™:

"Be Flora™ is a unique prebiotic fiber blend with various sweet characteristics. Be Flora™ is a clean white powder with a sweet perception that imparts no flavor to a formulation and no perceptible aftertaste. Be Flora™ is manufactured using a unique blend of dietary fiber, proprietary soy extract, and glycolate (potato starch).

The soy segment is naturally derived from the soy bean plant and is certified non-genetically modified and grown under biological conditions. The active principle of Be Flora™, is non-digestible short-chain polymer that is a nutrient, or prebiotic, to the “beneficial bacteria,” particularly bifidobacteria and lactobacillus, located in the large intestine.

This bacteria growth helps maintain and stabilize intestinal flora. One to three grams will produce a five times increase in beneficial bacteria.

Intestinal flora provide many benefits including:

• Nutritionally support digestive transit time and thus support regularity
• Assist and strengthen the immune system
• Help protect the intestine through the barrier effect of bifidobacteria
• Assist in controlling the formation of free radicals In addition, the bifidobacteria metabolize the dietary fiber and produce short-chain fatty acids that have many beneficial effects,

such as: • Help provide B vitamins • Help in the improved absorption of calcium • Help balance lipid and cholesterol metabolism • Help produce beneficial enzymes "

I am not sure that I want to INGEST something that I cannot Digest... and I am not sure that I trust Be Flora... you mull it all over and make an informed decision.
